Editorial Policy
This editorial policy applies to Top Executive Search Firms at topexecutivesearchfirms.org. The standards take effect on 23 October 2026. They apply to new and updated content. This is a policy commitment. It is not an assertion about historic conduct or revenue.
Evidence and inclusion
Inclusion must follow evidence. A firm is not included because it is well known or because it has paid. Inclusion is not endorsement. Category-specific eligibility rules apply. Claims should be supported by linked and dated public sources at claim level where possible. Self-reported information is labelled. Unknown information is not treated as zero.
Editorial independence
Under this standard, sponsorship never buys a position. Material ownership, referral or funding conflicts must be disclosed beside affected coverage. We do not make a blanket assertion that the publisher is independent of firms covered. Ownership and funding relationships have not yet been confirmed. Where a conflict is identified, the affected page should state it.
Updates and corrections
We use actual update dates. AI assistance must not substitute for source checking. Pages should state limits and evidence gaps. Existing numeric rankings have not been validated. Legacy lists are being reviewed, and their current order must not be treated as a performance score. Readers can send corrections through our contact page. Material corrections are reviewed against sources.
Read our methodology, terms of service and privacy policy.
Editorial addendum
Legacy directories stay alphabetical and unranked. Publisher Selections is a clearly scoped exception to that order. Publisher-directed placements are disclosed before entries. Entry order is not comparative quality, revenue or outcome evidence. Selection is publisher opinion, not an independent performance assessment.
The policy keeps primary evidence standards, actual dates, corrections and disclosure of known conflicts. Counts are named entries, not independent businesses. Known relationships are noted beside affected entries. No Hunt Scanlon affiliation or awards claim is made. Sponsorship must not buy a research position.
